Change of Season-Spring Time Collage

This is the first of a series of home projects offered to assist you in moving forward on your path - Taking the Next Step.

At this time of year I have my clients do a project. I invite you to create a Change of Season-Spring Time representing how you would like your spring season to unfold. Collages can be done for seasonal changes or the beginning of any new stage of your life.

Focus on something that you would like to have in your life at this time and find pictures that represent your thoughts and feelings. The focus may be on already existing parts of your life that you want to give more importance to. Examples: I want to add Kayaking to my activities - find a picture of a kayak/or draw one if you wish.  I need more rest and personal time. I want to make more time in my life for exercise. I want to take a trip to Europe. The possibilities are unlimited. I invite you to THINK BIG BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH IT. Imagine the life you most want to live this season.

How To Create Your Spring Collage.

You'll need a piece of poster board or foam core as a base. It is available in many sizes and colors and is available at craft stores and office supply stores. Glue sticks work well for attaching your flat pieces. You may want to use a glue gun for larger objects such as leaves, small stones, dried flowers, etc. Any item that you can glue onto your board works! You may also want glitter or and colored markers to draw with.

Collect images and words using resources such as magazines, postcards, old calendars, your own photos, and internet images that appeal to you.

Arrange the images and materials to your liking on your poster board. Then start gluing.

After your collage is done it is important to title your collage.  Choose a title that will inspire you to really embrace the images your board.

Put your collage in a place where you see it often each day. I use my bathroom as I see at the beginning of my day and then again before I go off to sleep. This helps me to keep the journey in my conscious thoughts every day. I also like the metaphor of starting my day with my wishes and ending the same way.

Enjoy,Cheryl
